Huahua Branding & #ADOPTDON'TSHOP Campaign
My final major project for my university degree was to create a brand and charity campaign that run along side each other. I was inspired by Lacoste and their endangered animals campaign. They created unique shirts where they replaced their traditional crocodile symbol with different endangered animals. Each shirt was made to the amount of animals left in the wild. For example there is a species of dolphin with only 105 left in the wild, so there was 105 shirts made.
For my project I created the Huahua (pronounced wah-wah for Chihuahua) skate clothing brand. The brand was inspired by skaters with dogs. I have a Chihuahua called Nancy who inspired the designs.
After creating the clothing brand, I then made a campaign for the brand to work with. For the campaign I also wanted this to revolve around dogs. I looked up dogs on the Blue Cross site and created little profiles for them that could go onto shirts. Each shirt sold would give money towards the Blue Cross and the campaign to get people to adopt dogs from them instead of spending thousands on puppies and promoting breeding.
Here are my final outcomes for this project:
